DM Starting Room

The Dark Mansion is an Always be Looting location but can also be found rarely in city locations. The building is laid out like a Big House, with the exception of always being dark inside. This can be both good and bad, since you may have trouble placing yourself, but zombies are much less aggressive. Bringing a few flashlights with you is recommended.

Sometimes furniture will be haunted and move on its own by floating across the room. This does not harm players but can obstruct their movement if the object is too big (e.g., a refrigerator). This can also be beneficial as haunted furniture acts similar to thrown furniture (but is indestructible) and can kill zombies indefinitely without consuming stamina.

Statues of horse head or woman are spawned everywhere inside the mansion; Additionally, there will always be a room containing a few statues, some zombies, and one of the possible rare weapons. (See below)

Occasionally, in a normal City looting event, this may appear as an unmarked house, with the same loot but having normal light and fewer zombies.

Loot found in the mansion[]

The group runs into an enormous mansion. There can be a lot of loot in here, and a lot of zombiefied looters wandering around in the dark.

Trivia[]

  • Time does not pass while in the Dark Mansion, which is one of the few locations in the game that have a TIME TO BUY A NEW WATCH time forecast. Furthermore, it's one of three locations that are guaranteed to have this forecast (the other two are the similar Haunted Mansion and the Spooky Graveyard).
